Why teams look at AirOps alternatives

AirOps is a capable platform for AI discovery work, and many teams stay with it. People usually look around for one of four practical reasons, all visible on AirOps’ own pricing page rather than from complaints we’ve seen:

  • Budgeting. No list prices are published, so cost depends on a conversation and on task usage.
  • Multi-brand needs. Solo and Pro include one Brand Kit, so several brands means Enterprise.
  • A different centre of gravity. AirOps is strongest on AI search and web publishing; some teams need social, PR or advocacy treated as equally native.
  • Governance shape. Teams in regulated or multi-owner environments sometimes want authority set per action and destination, not only review checkpoints.

If none of these apply to you, AirOps may well be the right choice, and you should say so to whoever asked you to look.

First, decide which kind of tool you need

The “alternatives” cluster mixes tools that do quite different jobs. Sort your need first:

If your main problem is… You need a tool that… Look at
“We don’t know where we appear in AI answers” Measures AI visibility Profound (and our Profound alternatives page)
“We can’t produce enough on-brand content” Writes at scale Jasper, Byword
“Our go-to-market workflows are manual” Automates workflows broadly Copy.ai, WRITER
“We find opportunities but they never become governed, published work” Runs the work end to end, within rules AirOps, ReachFabric

How ReachFabric differs from AirOps

Both products try to turn an opportunity into published work, so it’s worth being precise.

  • Where they overlap: both research opportunities, produce content with brand context and route work through human review.
  • Where AirOps is ahead today: a mature AI-search insight layer, 13 published CMS integrations, batch publishing with Grids, and a strategist services team.
  • Where ReachFabric is different: it’s built around one governed loop (sense, research, make, verify, act, recheck) across Web and Social, where authority is set per action, destination, risk and owner, so work proceeds, waits for a named approver or stops and explains. One researched idea becomes distinct native work per channel (content missions) rather than batch-published pages.
  • What to weigh honestly: ReachFabric is new and in pilot, with a published starting price of $2,999/month but no public case studies yet. AirOps has a longer track record.

How to choose

  1. Write down the job. Measuring, writing, automating or running governed work end to end.
  2. List your brands and channels. Multi-brand and multi-channel needs change which plans, and which tools, fit.
  3. Map your approval rules. If different actions need different approvers, test that directly in a trial or pilot.
  4. Ask for a written scope and price for your actual volume, especially with usage-metered tools.
  5. Run one real piece of work through your shortlist before committing.

Each option in detail

AirOps

Workflow platform

Best for: Teams running an AI discovery (AEO) program who want visibility insights, agent workflows, batch publishing and strategist support in one place.

  • Visibility, citation and sentiment insights connected to content actions (per its docs)
  • Playbooks, Workflows and Grids for running and publishing work at scale
  • Brand Kits, Knowledge Bases and Human Review checkpoints
  • Publishing integrations with 13 CMSs, including WordPress, Webflow, Contentful and Sanity

Watch out for: No list prices, task-based usage metering, and one Brand Kit below Enterprise, which matters if you run several brands.

Pricing: Not public. Solo and Pro say “Start for free”; Enterprise is “Work with us”. Solo overage is $0.025 per task. · Vendor site

ReachFabric

Runs the work

Best for: Enterprise and multi-brand teams who want recurring content work run end to end across Web and Social, with authority set per action, destination, risk and owner.

  • One operating loop: sense, research, make, verify, act, recheck
  • Authority rules decide what proceeds, what needs a named approver and what stops
  • One researched idea becomes distinct native work per channel, each with its own approval
  • Evidence and decision records travel with every asset

Watch out for: New and in pilot: no public customers or case studies yet, and supported integrations are confirmed per pilot. Expect a scoping conversation, not self-serve sign-up.

Pricing: Starts at $2,999/month. Pilots are scoped and quoted; implementation, premium data and integrations are separate. · Learn more

Profound

Measures visibility

Best for: Enterprise AEO teams who need deep answer-engine visibility tracking, with content agents built on top.

  • Tracks visibility across up to 9 answer engines, including ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Mode, Gemini, Copilot and Claude
  • An “AI Marketer” that rewrites pages losing citations and drafts pages for unanswered questions
  • Agents publish to your CMS, with an approval step before anything goes live

Watch out for: Pricing beyond the trial isn't published; the trial has fixed prompts, one language and one region, and no export or API.

Pricing: Free 7-day trial (50 prompts daily, 3 engines). Enterprise is custom and not public. · Vendor site
